Who needs science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) education? You do — if you plan to stay relevant in the workplace, you need to acquire technical skills.
Today, 25 percent of all jobs require a high level of proficiency in any one of the four STEM disciplines. In broader terms, 73 percent of all jobs in our evolving, knowledge-based global economy are STEM-related in some way.
European Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Education (ECLEE), being a partner of Djagora University, has designed its STEM Plus program by addressing this basic philosophic question: “What must change inside the mind to accomplish innovation in the outside world?” We strongly believe that the earlier this mental shift is implemented in life, the better the results. Djagora’s STEM Plus program is a cohort program modeled after the Leadership Diamond®, a methodology for developing leaders at all levels. Developed by the renowned philosopher and author Dr. Peter Koestenbaum, Leadership Diamond® focuses on discovering human values and talent, cultivating them, and creating bridges that empower people in today’s business world to make a significant difference. Our objective is to prepare students to be responsible global workers and world citizens.
In addition to science and technology, STEM Plus program proposed by ECLEE encourages students to develop their capacity to adapt to real social and language skills, and their ability to solve complex problems. The STEM program basically promote the training of students from priority education zones and public from diverse while respecting gender.
